Tamang heritage trail is newly opened route in popular langtang trekking region. This trail was developed by the Tourism for Rural Poverty Alleviation Program (TRPAP). This trekking trail starts from Syabrubesi and passing through Gatlang, Tatopani, Thuman and Briddim. This is a community based trekking packaged between the Ganesh Himal (Ruby Valley Trek) and Langtang Range. This villages are  culturally rich trail populated by Tamang People and Tibetan Tamang people who are closed to Tibetan cultural, traditional as it lies in the border with Tibet in the north. In the past this used to be a trade way for the local people around that area for carrying salt and mountain goat (Changra) for the meat. As this trail is culturally rich we can see multicultural while on the trail such as  Tibetan culture, festival, rituals, traditional architecture and customs, local dance of Syabru people which makes the exposure to this culture very unique. Syabru Mane and other local dances can be seen at Goljung and Gatlang village development community (VDC). This people wave their own cultural handicraft and sells to the tourist like traditional cap, mufflers and other items. It takes nearly one day or 7-8 hours drive form capital to reach our trekking starting point Syabru Besi depending on the road condition.

Tamang Heritage trail is an interesting trek through Tamang villages and settlements. They are descendants from Tibet and have hardly seen any tourists. Their culture is virtually untouched. There are still bears, leopards, red pandas and musk deer that however are no danger. In March and April the Rhododendron forests have many different species of trees, birds and butterflies. Tamang Heritage trail trekking is special one for those trekkers, who would like to see traditional and untouched heritage, custom and lifestyle. There is a view point at Goljung pass from where we can view of Langtang and Kerung (Tibet) can be awe inspiring and the hot spring (tatopani) which is believed if we bath from there then body can be cured of illness by the local people in the past. This can also offers beaten track experience in recently developed route with charming mountain vistas and trek combines picturesque landscape, luring white peaks and scattered antique villages.
