The Ganjala pass trekking begins at Syaybru bensi and ends at Melamchipul. From past few years there is an option of taking bus from Sermathang to Kathmandu. If you want you can walk all the way to Kakani from Melamchipul following the Langtang Khola, its forest and through the Langtang village and Kyanjing gompa whch is surrounded by the tibetan peaks and Mt. Langlang lirung. The view of Langtang lirung is spectacular from anywhere. Peaks are just in front of you, Yala in the north, Naya kang in the east and south. Dorje Lakpa(6966m), Urkeinmang(6387m), Loenpo Gang (6979)can often be viewed. The Yak cheese factory and lakes are also near by the Kyanjing gompa. Trekking starts from Kyanjing and we should be well equipped with enough food as there are no lodges and no settlements for three/ four days along the way to pass and after. So all necessary things should be taken by ourselves. The ropes are often needed while we are going to cross the Ganja la pass (5122m), the high pass and in the otherside while we are descending.. Trek here is only possible with well organized team.
Trekking in Langtang region, Ganjala pass to Helambu region is one of the best choice to see the enthnic groups of Tamang, Gurung and Sherpa people in the Helambu region as well . The Monastery can often be seen in the route as they are Buddhists. Moreover, the Tarkeghyang Monastery has 100 horses which were asked to the King in Kathmandu by the monks in Gompa.
