Everest region trekking is one of the world's most famous trek. It starts with a flight to Lukla, where the little plane lands on the 512 m long runway build by Edmund Hillary in the cities or walking from Jiri or Shiva laya after 7 hrs drives from Kathmandu. The path then winds up and down through wobbly (but safe) bridges and fascinating villages of Namche Bazaar and Tengpoche monastery. The higher we go, the more snow capped peaks will dominate the view of Ama Dablam, Baruntse, Imja Tse, Lhotse, Chomolungma etc. We will pass the Everest cemetery where over 200 of those who did not plan to stay there wished to stay back forever.
The Stupas, prayer flags and poles as well as 16th century monasteries will guide us higher and higher. Incents will smell in every tea house and local cuisine (Dal bhat and other lentil based dishes) will keep you more energetic.
Our expedition is unique in that you will be able to have tea and chat to the members of expedition, who will be attempting the summit at the time of your visit. Ability to see how they live, eat and prepare for this daring challenge is an adventure in itself.
